A Very Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday this year. The pictures are in no particular order but I will explain each of them if needed. The above picture is Abby "helping" put Christmas stuff away!
It was a great week and she has been so good even while dealing with a runny nose and cough. She loved playing with these jingle bells I put on the lower branches of the tree. She would pull them off and shake them. I have video of her doing that and will try to upload a few videos from the holidays. I hope everyone had a great holiday season and we are ready for a new year with Abby.

Cutie!
Hey everyone, I am trying a new way to write this blog but I don't know if it will work or not. I don't like it being so messy so I tried putting the pictures in first and then typing around them. We shall see!

9 months!
Wow, time flies when you are having fun let me tell you! Abby is so much fun and she has the best sense of humor. She laughs at her daddy all of the time and has many tickle spots. I am going to include some videos we have taken in the last week along with some cute pictures of her in her pajamas that fit! She loves watching a show from PBS called A Big, Big World. I think her daddy enjoys it too. We have a big television now so the picture is bigger and brighter!
The big boy in the stripes is Kyle at 9 months. Hmm, I wonder where she gets her wrinkles.

new cousin
Hello All,
I am so sorry about not updating the blog. Abby has a new cousin that arrived Friday the 24th. Savannah Nicole was born to Pat and Lisa. She is so cute. I am including a video of Abby kissing Savannah. You will smile at this one. The shadow on her face is a balloon she will not let go of.
We are good. We are busy.
Enough about us, enjoy the

Tough week!
Hey ya'll,
It was a tough week and there wasn't even a full moon. On Tuesday, Abby fell off the couch under her daddy's watch which just broke his heart. It's a good thing she's still so fluffy. She has a scuffed up nose but has managed to get over that.
Friday night I ended up in the ER with gallbladder issues. I even took a picture of myself in the ER and sent it to a couple of friends to show how much fun I was having on Friday night. Mom took me and we were there from 10PM to 1 AM. When the person did the sonogram on me, without the pain medicine working, it was worse then having contractions! I am better now but I go to the dr on Tuesday to see what happens next.
We had

We also went out to a couple of museums for Educator's Evening. Abby enjoyed the Cowgirl Museum but not so much the

Teeth Galore!
Hello All,
Sorry it has been a while since the last blog. School is keeping me busy along with a cute little chica when I get home. I LOVE how she smiles at me when I walk in the door. They are true about the endorphines that erupt in a mom when she sees her baby smile. I am sending pictures and a funny video I shot this afternoon. I started telling Abby she looked like Bertha Mae, my nanny, and she got tickled so I had to capture that on film.
We are good. The new actions are clapping our hands. Well, actually holding the left hand still and bringing the right hand to it. She started that last Thursday. She is now pulling up on things if she is close enough to them. We were practicing that tonight in the nursery. She has thunder thighs, might as well put them to good use!
Enjoy the pictures and video! Love Abby's Mom :)

another month has passed
Well, Abby is now 7 months old!!! She began with two teeth at 4 months and now has 4, yes 4 teeth coming in on top. She will be eating Nana Burgers any time now! We are good. Sitting back and watching Ike roll in to our area.
School is going pretty well this year. I have some really good kids and they can seem to keep up with the new curriculum. Of course I have an Abby shrine around my desk and they get to watch her grow through all of my pictures.
Abby girl is growing like a weed. She can now get up on her knees but if I tell her to come see me, she flops down on her belly and does an imitation of Michael Phelps. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming... This weekend we started a runny nose due to allergies I think. The apparatus for cleaning the nose is funny because she fights us when it's time to suck out the icky stuff, but she stops to listen when I squeeze it out on a tissue.
She is always grabbing and leaning over to watch everything.

the magical fruit
Oh my word, our girl is getting so big and her expressions are priceless. I am sending a video of her eating prunes. We are having to use them to produce a poopy diaper! We have already experienced constipation once, and we don't want to go through that again, her daddy and I were crying while Abby was crying from the pain on that really bad day.
I will have to apologize up front for the movement but I couldn't stop laughing as you will hear on the video. Get some Kleenex, they will be needed, and this video will also help on a yucky day when you need a pick-me-up. I'm thinking I will be watching it every Monday after school! Please send comments. I usually do it anonymously because I can never remember my password and then I put my name in the message. Enjoy!

get your motors running
I could not have imagined how hard it would be to go back to work after getting the opportunity to play with a baby for three months! I started back to work this Monday and it was awful! I had to leave my girl with a new babysitter, who I found on care.com and hoped and prayed she would be safe and have a great time. I cried to work once again, just like after my maternity leave. God has given me peace about all of that now. I have the chance to come home for lunch this week which has been great because I get to sit and visit with Christy and hang out with Abby. Christy is great. She comes to the house to take care of Abby, she's young and very patient, which with Abby it's just finding things to keep her busy and safe all at the same time!
As I promised from the last post, a video of Abby in her new car. Zoooommmmm!

drivin' mama crazy
Well, today Abby turned 6 months old! She has a new action. She will stick out her tongue and keep it out. I need to train her to stick it out on cue for certain people we come across. That would be awesome!
Her Nana has bought her a walker that's a red car. It is so fun! I have pictures to send but you know video will come close behind that!
I am also going to send you a picture of my new do, the one Abby was laughing at in the previous blog.
All is well except for the fact that school, for me, starts Monday-YUCK!!!
Enjoy the pictures and video will be coming soon!

summer fun
Hello All, I have been looking for babysitters this week and I am planning on a few interviews while Kyle is home from work. If I could, I would stay home in a heartbeat and play with this fun, crazy chick! I don't know if I can manage without my midmorning and afternoon naps! I am putting a video on that I did last week. I got a curly perm and Abby is trying to get used to it. I will send a picture of the hair once I get it under control!!! Enjoy the videos.

sponge bob
OK. I finally was able to get the video off of the camera and onto the computer. Abby is watching Sponge Bob over at mom's house and I caught her reactions to some of the show. I am also including a video of her enjoying her swing. She did not like it when she was younger and a lot smaller. You can see how much room she is taking up. That nap was about a 30 minute power nap. This week should be a clam one. We will probably spend a lot of time playing and napping. I am a little stressed about finding a sitter for her. I pray that God will lead me to a trustworthy person that I can rely on to take care of my precious girl. Enjoy the videos! By the way, Abby's outfit says"can't resist a kiss with a face like this".

sweet baby girl
It has been one busy week. I had three days of workshops while Kyle worked several hours of overtime. Luckily Abby's Nana wasn't too busy to hang out with her. They have a large flat screen television so the characters on TV really stick out. I was going to show her reactions while she was watching Sponge Bob Square Pants but I can't get the video to download. If I figure it out I will send it soon. She is so much fun! We went to have 5 month pictures taken. I will probably send those via email next week because they came on a CD and now I have to figure out how to get those sent also! We started on carrots this week. Mom and dad get excited when they think she has red hair but once I look at where they "see" the red hair, I have to inform them those are carrots, so mom missed a spot! She is now eating out of her high chair and when we go out we let her sit up in a high chair. She is getting so big! These are the pictures from last month when we did the four generation pictures.

Happy Friday!
All is well at our house other than the oven being out! I have to get the baking element replaced so that doesn't allow Abby and I to bake any goodies or even some dishes for a while. Then we get to wait for the repair person to come fix it and he will be here any time from 8 to 5. We did get a lot of things done in the house, like laundry, playing in the nursery, great naps in the chair together and of course watching a little television!
Abby is growing like a weed! She is now able to sit up on her huge haunches and stay balanced for a little longer each day. We went swimming the other day so I will include a couple of pictures of her outfit and HUGE hat. She liked it, I guess. The hat was so big that I couldn't see her face but I was concerned about her getting burned. We lasted about 10 minutes in the pool and the we sat and watched other kids play. We will go in th evening time next week so we can take some pictures.

Abby has also found her hands and she loves looking at them. Her face is very serious and she looks like she is studying hard. I am including a few pictures from this week. Have a great weekend and enjoy the pictures!

just letting off some steam
Before I head to bed with the rest of the family, I wanted to throw in a funny video of the girl. She is "sounding off" I guess. I had to make sure she didn't see the camera because then she stops "talking" and stares at the camera as you will see at the end. All is good. Enjoy!

A little time on my hands
Don't fret, Abby is napping at Nana's while I did yard work. Her daddy won't let us ride the lawn mower together. She did sit and watch her dad do a little mowing the other day. She seemed impressed. What a week it has already been! We went yesterday and took a four generation picture with my nanny. We took one of our hands and then group pictures. It was a lot of fun. She is such a ham in front of the camera. We had a bad experience this weekend with too much cereal and not enough fluids so needless to say we are drinking a little pear juice and holding back on the cereal for a day or so. Thanks Pat and Lisa for the pear juice and advice! We may attempt veggies next week. I cannot believe she is almost 5 months old. Wow!
I am including a video of her eating her cereal, not neatly but it did get in there! Enjoy!

Happy 4th Yall!
Thanks for the comments on the first blog. Now to find the time to keep you updated with pictures and videos will be the "fun" part! We celebrated the 4th with a family reunion on my dad's mom's side of the family. Here is a cute picture from that.
We also went to another party for the evening to eat and watch fire works. We ended up leaving because we were all hot and decided to watch fireworks from our back porch in our pajamas. Our neighbors had a great fireworks show so we sat and enjoyed it until bedtime. Look how patriotic she is!
