sponge bob

OK. I finally was able to get the video off of the camera and onto the computer. Abby is watching Sponge Bob over at mom's house and I caught her reactions to some of the show. I am also including a video of her enjoying her swing. She did not like it when she was younger and a lot smaller. You can see how much room she is taking up. That nap was about a 30 minute power nap. This week should be a clam one. We will probably spend a lot of time playing and napping. I am a little stressed about finding a sitter for her. I pray that God will lead me to a trustworthy person that I can rely on to take care of my precious girl. Enjoy the videos! By the way, Abby's outfit says"can't resist a kiss with a face like this".

sweet baby girl

It has been one busy week. I had three days of workshops while Kyle worked several hours of overtime. Luckily Abby's Nana wasn't too busy to hang out with her. They have a large flat screen television so the characters on TV really stick out. I was going to show her reactions while she was watching Sponge Bob Square Pants but I can't get the video to download. If I figure it out I will send it soon. She is so much fun! We went to have 5 month pictures taken. I will probably send those via email next week because they came on a CD and now I have to figure out how to get those sent also! We started on carrots this week. Mom and dad get excited when they think she has red hair but once I look at where they "see" the red hair, I have to inform them those are carrots, so mom missed a spot! She is now eating out of her high chair and when we go out we let her sit up in a high chair. She is getting so big! These are the pictures from last month when we did the four generation pictures.

Happy Friday!

All is well at our house other than the oven being out! I have to get the baking element replaced so that doesn't allow Abby and I to bake any goodies or even some dishes for a while. Then we get to wait for the repair person to come fix it and he will be here any time from 8 to 5. We did get a lot of things done in the house, like laundry, playing in the nursery, great naps in the chair together and of course watching a little television!

Abby is growing like a weed! She is now able to sit up on her huge haunches and stay balanced for a little longer each day. We went swimming the other day so I will include a couple of pictures of her outfit and HUGE hat. She liked it, I guess. The hat was so big that I couldn't see her face but I was concerned about her getting burned. We lasted about 10 minutes in the pool and the we sat and watched other kids play. We will go in th evening time next week so we can take some pictures.

Abby has also found her hands and she loves looking at them. Her face is very serious and she looks like she is studying hard. I am including a few pictures from this week. Have a great weekend and enjoy the pictures!

just letting off some steam

Before I head to bed with the rest of the family, I wanted to throw in a funny video of the girl. She is "sounding off" I guess. I had to make sure she didn't see the camera because then she stops "talking" and stares at the camera as you will see at the end. All is good. Enjoy!

A little time on my hands

Don't fret, Abby is napping at Nana's while I did yard work. Her daddy won't let us ride the lawn mower together. She did sit and watch her dad do a little mowing the other day. She seemed impressed. What a week it has already been! We went yesterday and took a four generation picture with my nanny. We took one of our hands and then group pictures. It was a lot of fun. She is such a ham in front of the camera. We had a bad experience this weekend with too much cereal and not enough fluids so needless to say we are drinking a little pear juice and holding back on the cereal for a day or so. Thanks Pat and Lisa for the pear juice and advice! We may attempt veggies next week. I cannot believe she is almost 5 months old. Wow!
I am including a video of her eating her cereal, not neatly but it did get in there! Enjoy!

Happy 4th Yall!

Thanks for the comments on the first blog. Now to find the time to keep you updated with pictures and videos will be the "fun" part! We celebrated the 4th with a family reunion on my dad's mom's side of the family. Here is a cute picture from that.
We also went to another party for the evening to eat and watch fire works. We ended up leaving because we were all hot and decided to watch fireworks from our back porch in our pajamas. Our neighbors had a great fireworks show so we sat and enjoyed it until bedtime. Look how patriotic she is!

I'll try anything once!

Hello All. This is the first and hopefully not the last blog on my Abby girl. I hope to provide videos for you to watch as she learns new and fun things. I am going to attempt to send a video of her laughing. She sounds like a squeaky toy. It will put a huge smile on your face. The outfit she is wearing does say "Tax Deduction" it was a gift! Enjoy and please let me know what you think about it!
